Digital art has made a notable dent in traditional mediums, and it should be positioned as a good thing. Digital art, or art created through digital means, is gaining in popularity. The emergence of NFTs and Web3 is driving people to purchase digital art as collectible assets. This rise has also introduced tools that allow artists to create faster and easier than ever before. Digital art is arguably more accessible and in some cases, more affordable than traditional art which is allowing new collectors to enter the market. The emergence of this new and controversial medium is part of the revolutionary internet renaissance we are experiencing alongside other technological innovations including Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse, AR, VR and much more. Physical IRL galleries like Superchief will serve as pillars in the web3 world and push mainstream adoption of digital assets and collectibles to untapped audiences.

In March, 2021, Superchief Gallery opened its doors in New York City at its original location in Union Square, establishing itself as the World's first physical, in person NFT Gallery. Superchief Gallery has proudly teamed up with Christie’s Auction House on their first CryptoPunk Auction and produced a wide variety of NFT and art gallery events for brands like Opensea, MakersPlace, Foundation, UNICEF, The United Nations, The Ukraine, Outer Edge(NFT | LA), and NFT NYC. The gallery has crossed paths with superstar creators with massive influence in the space in both traditional contemporary and next-gen digital. These spaces are grounds for sharing experiences, asking questions, exploring ideas, breeding inspiration, and contributing to the art ecosystem by just being present and absorbing. You will often come across the most unique individuals at these functions with diversity being heavily encouraged.

Superchief recently collaborated with SCOPE Art Show during Art Basel Miami 2022, bringing together an eclectic collection of talented artists to showcase their work. The event included an educational panel followed by casual networking in a lively, social environment that featured Swansit, Gmoney, Edward Zipco, Bryan Brinkman, Benzi and others. Spectators witnessed a powerful moderation covering the creative aspect of NFTs, the future of Web3 and where art is heading as digital pieces become more respected. The now willingly doxxed Gmoney shared his latest developments in the space during the chat and panelists invited audience members to ask questions once the conversation concluded.

Superchief understands the mechanics that drive art and its value and present us with solutions that propel the creator system forward while maintaining cultural integrity. Although digital art may not be as tangible as other mediums - this does not mean it can't be experienced in the same light as its companions. Digital art is changing the way we look at collectibles and Superchief will be a catalyst in the world’s acceptance and emergence into the digital world.
